The Farrell & Daughters Approach
In brief, the F&D philosophy is all about using design as a means to improve the lives of our clients by creating spaces they can be their most authentic selves in.
What does that mean? For us, that really adds up to creating spaces for quiet, content, connective moments. Whether that's connecting to yourself reading in an amazing corner of your bedroom, or connecting with your friends over cooking and eating in the kitchen ... whatever makes you feel the most *you* in your space, that's what we're looking to achieve.
The studio is lead by Anna Farrell, a certified holistic health coach, so everything we do has a bit of a "how can we improve your wellness in this space" spin on it as well. Whether that means maximizing sleep hygiene or reducing stress or eating nutritionally dense foods...we’ll chart a course together and create a solution that’s totally unique to you.
Sound good already? Amazing, would love to hear about your project!

About Anna (& The daughters)
Anna Farrell is an interior designer, board certified holistic health coach, and lifetime DIY-er. Since 2015, when she designed the office space for the digital agency at which she was also running the UX department, she’s brought her deep experience designing digital environments (think websites, apps, and even banking software) to designing physical ones.
Her approach to design is as unique as her background — rooted in humanity, holistic wellness, and a deep love of solving complex problems (like renovating a 120 year old farmhouse on a budget).
She’s also mama to two fur daughters — Eleanor Rigby, a 9 year old orange cat, and Scout, an 8 year old pittie. They help her run Farrell & Daughters from their apartment in Brooklyn Heights and house in Upstate NY.
Working with Farrell & Daughters
A different approach
Working with Farrell & Daughters is equal parts therapy session and design collaboration. Unlike old-school interior designers that charged you a markup on your total budget, with me you buy my time, decide how to use it, and get access to our trade discounts at popular furniture spots like West Elm and Interior Define.
Defining the Problem
In the first session, You’ll work with Anna to define the most important things for your space - is it about retreat? or connecting with friends? or re-connecting with a spouse after a long day of kid wrangling?
Then, you and Anna will evaluate what's working and not working about the flow of your current space - where does the clutter gather? Where do you always sit? Which areas are under-utilized?
And then she gets to work. You’ll work with Anna to decide how to best deploy her time to bring your vision to life.
